My Under 5Fancy dress fundayThe children, families and staff at Ladybirds Nursery in Runcorn held a Funday back in June, including a sponsored fancy dress walk for families. The setting had a range of stalls including a tombola, cake stall, face painting and glitter tattoos, and held a raffle with prizes that had all been donated by parents, the local community and small businesses, raising an amazing £800! The funds raised will go towards the nursery’s school leavers’ party in July as well as new resources for the baby and toddler rooms.

Jo Burke, nursery manager, said: “The turn out was fantastic! Most of our families attended and took part and the feedback has been all positive. The parents, children and staff all put so much effort into making the event a huge success.”
