Little Angels in Brighton and Hove celebrated World Down Syndrome Day together on Friday 21 March, raising a fantastic £73.62 for Down Syndrome UK!
To celebrate, everyone wore yellow clothing and odd socks - with odd socks being a way to celebrate everyone's differences and yellow representing sunflowers, which are used to demonstrate the diversity and individuality of people with Down Syndrome who, like sunflowers, may grow at different paces but will eventually flourish. In honour of this, everyone at Little Angels planted and sold sunflower seeds, made sunflower pictures and did 'Hello Sun' yoga. And, last but not least, the children got to make their very own sunflower biscuits!!!
