Coming soon… Business Block Updates

Over the coming months and years, the government is set to introduce a wide range of business legislation changes that are likely to have a significant impact on the early years sector.

Last month saw the introduction of new legal duties on employers to take steps to prevent sexual harassment, while the new government’s planned Employment Rights Bill will see a range of significant changes introduced or consulted on, including:

  • changes to the rules around zero-hours contracts

  • day one protection against unfair dismissal, for paternity leave and unpaid parental leave, and for sick pay

  • the right to ‘switch off’

  • changes to minimum wage bandings for younger workers

Keeping up with these changes is an absolute must for anyone operating an early years provision – or anyone who may own or manage a setting in the future. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our new Business Block Updates. Sent out once a term, these digital newsletters will provide a handy summary of all the latest guidance and policy changes likely to impact on the business side of your early years provision.

As a member, you don’t have to do anything to sign up – these updates will be sent straight to your inbox.
