Amazon has announced that it’s AmazonSmile fundraising platform will close on 20 February. Charities registered with the service will get a one-off donation equivalent to three-months of earning in 2022.

Following a ballot of members of the NEU, some teachers in England will be striking on 1, 14, 28, February as well as 1 and 2 March 2023, with a mixture of regional and national action across the country.

The Sutton Trust says that 52% of teachers are reporting an increase in the number of children, who are not eligible for free school meals, being unable to afford lunch, while 44% reported an increase in the number of children arriving to school hungry.
