The team at Bright Little Stars Nursery in Barnet, London is celebrating after being graded ‘good’ after its first recent Ofsted inspection. The inspector praised the “harmonious and friendly environment” at the setting and “ambitious curriculum” based on children’s interests. Manager Karma says she is “thrilled” that the inspectors were able to see the team’s hard work.

Boys and Girls Nursery in London has celebrated 15 years since its launch, having supported a total of more than 6,000 children across its three sites. Director Natasha said: “We’ve come so far in 15 years, got through the recent challenges faced by the pandemic and continue to reflect on and develop our provision to ensure children really are getting the very best start.”

The children at Quince Tree Nursery in South Ockendon, Essex, have made a DNA Model, which they called Maya. They used different materials to show the DNA particles in the body. The model also shows that not all DNA is the same, which means that everyone is different and that’s okay!

Double celebration

The team at Rixton-with-Glazebrook Pre-school, Warrington, have celebrated both a ‘Good’ Ofsted inspection outcome and their 50th anniversary. The setting was praised by Ofsted for its clear curriculum and the positive attitudes children develop towards learning. The setting also marked its anniversary with a party attended by representatives from the last 50 years.

Children in Need

Children at Jellybabies Nursery, Rednal, learned about the work of Children in Need and took part in activities to mark the fundraising day including Pudsey Bear yoga and listening games. They also made their own Pudsey bears using playdough and ended the week with a day of fames. They raised a total of £20 for the cause.

Round House Pre-school, St Neots, is celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ rating in its latest Ofsted inspection. The inspector commented on the settings well-thought-out curriculum, community trips, embrace of children’s home languages and emphasis on physical activity. Manager Lyndsey said: “I am extremely proud of the team’s hard work and dedication through some challenging times.”
