“I see my role as being a critical friend and not being afraid of asking tough questions. I really enjoy being informed about new initiatives at the Alliance and learning how the charity works at a top level.”
Christine Cheshire, Alliance trustee

Here at the Early Years Alliance, we aren’t afraid to be ambitious. We want to transform the early years landscape in England and build a sector and society that recognises the importance of a child’s earliest years, and ensures that all children and families can access the quality support, care and education they both need and deserve.

If you are already an active member of the Alliance and want to play a central role in shaping our strategy over the next three years, then there is no better way to do so than by joining our Board of Trustees.

We are currently looking for trustees to serve from 1 March 2023 to 28 February 2026 to help drive the vision, mission and values in life, then we’d love to hear from you. matter if you’re a seasoned volunteer or if this would be your first trustee role - if you're committed to ensuring that all children get the best possible start in life, then we'd love to hear from you.

“I'd recommend this role to anyone: early years is such an important part of childhood and I have really enjoyed playing a part in ensuring the needs of the sector are listened to.”
Sarah Presswood, Alliance trustee

We also offer a full training and induction programme to help you to ease into your new role.
