CPD TRAINING EVENT
Join the Alliance for a morning of online business and leadership CPD training in March
When you’re in the business of delivering the best possible care and education for families, financial efficiency and sustainability are just as important as outstanding practice. That's why our next instalment of CPD for You – our series of half-day, online professional development events – is dedicated solely to business and leadership.
Join us on Saturday 22 March, alongside our partners at TTS, for an engaging and interactive event that will help you feel more confident and supported in your leadership role!
Our agenda was created with the help of feedback from a pre-event survey and will cover topics such as building your team, creating or revisiting your SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis, and budgeting and forecasting. In between sessions, you’ll also have the opportunity to network, make new connections, and share your thoughts and ideas.
Whether you’re already in a leadership position or want to work to become a leader, manager or owner, you’re welcome to join Tracey Hobbs, Alliance early years development manager, and Gary Croxon, Alliance business manager, for this jam-packed event tailored to the needs of business leaders in the early years.
10am: Welcome and introductions
10:10am -11am: Business leadership
A leader’s position within early years is a challenging one, but it’s integral to ensuring business success. This session, we will look at the importance of knowing your team and how they can support the business alongside you.
11:05am -11:40am: Developing and implementing your SWOT check
This practical session will provide an overview of a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) check and, through discussion, look at how any weaknesses and threats could be transformed into strengths and opportunities.
11:40am -12pm: Break
12pm -12:50pm: Budgeting and forecasting
Effective budgeting is key to ensuring you have an overview of the longer-term impact of income and expenditure. We’ll share what needs to be considered while also looking at and discussing different business models.
12:50pm -1pm: Evaluation and close
